Walking in wonderland

Always there, always protecting me.
I know you don’t have ill intentions, all that you want is to protect me from this cruel world.
You seek truth as if it’s laying like a rock in the mountains. Like choosing the next piece of the puzzle that completes the whole frame. Quite important if you have been living your whole life trying to complete it.
Now imagine if you weren’t helping me in my quest? I would have been lost, in the unknown where there is only mist to see.
I could be deaf at that point, but not blind. I see what the world has to offer me. Quite a prize, if you ask me.
Will it stay on the shore, or will it be thrown into the sea? Both can see the sun rise and set.
You speak that nothing the world offers is free, a reason will always lurk from the past and future. Once you do find it, which ofcourse you will, you shout at these things at me in the present.
What’s that pain in the chest?
Is this you trying to warn me from what’s about to come?
A last shout for help?
I assure you, there is nothing to worry about.
Even if you are right, I wanna be walking in wonderland.
Those who have ears, listen.
